| Conference papers |
The deadline is extended to February 28, 2022.
The conference papers of ISSS-9 will be published in an open access journal, e-Journal of Surface Science and Nanotechnology (e-JSSNT). A participant can submit one of the following papers without publication fee.
・ Regular Paper
・ Technical Note
・ Review (for the plenary and invited speakers)
・ Proceeding Paper
The conference papers will be nominated for various prizes of the Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science.
All papers will be subject to peer review. All the participants are encouraged
to submit papers. Invited speakers are strongly encouraged to submit an
original or a review paper. The young award winner is recommended to submit
a conference paper though the submission does not guarantee eventual acceptance.

Publication Schedule |
・ The submission page will be open from November 22, 2021 for Proceeding Paper.
・ The submission page will be open from December 2, 2021 for Regular Paper, Technical Note, and Review.
・ The deadline for manuscript submission is February 28, 2022 January 31, 2022, for Proceeding Paper, Regular Paper, Technical Note, and Review.
・ Submitted papers are individually published on the website immediately
after the acceptance, and are unaffected by delays of other papers.

How to submit a paper |
・ A manuscript can only be submitted on-line via the website of e-JSSNT.
・ The instruction for Web submission customized to ISSS-9 is available,
here.
・ Detailed information and instructions for manuscript preparation will
be on the journal website.
・ There are no page limitations or fees for publication.
・ The authors are encouraged to use color figures and movies.
・ Your manuscript must be written in clear, comprehensible English.
・ If you have concerns about the level of English in your manuscript, please
ensure that it is proofread before submission by a native English speaker
or a scientific editing service. If you submit a conference paper in bad English, it will take a long time to review the paper.
・ Conference papers submitted as Regular Paper, Technical Note, and Review will be handled by the eJSSNT editorial board in the same way as other general submissions.
・ Proceeding Papers will be handled by Publication Committee of ISSS-9.
