Access to Nara

Access to Nara from Osaka/Kansai International Airport
1. By Limousine Bus@(Fare JPY 1,800)
It takes about 90minutes from Osaka/Kansai International Airport to JR Nara Station via Nara Hotel and Kintetsu Nara Station.
The bus leaves every an hour from bus stop Number 10.
2. By JR Train@(Fare JPY 1,660)
It takes 30minutes from Osaka/Kansai International Airport to Tennoji Station by using JR Kansai Kuko Line. From Tennoji, you can get to JR Nara Station by taking Yamatoji Kaisoku Train for about 30 minutes.
3. By Limousine Bus and Kintetsu Line@(Fare JPY 1,840)
It takes about 55minutes from Osaka/Kansai International Airport to Kintetsu Uehonmachi Station by taking Limousine Bus. The bus runs every 15 to 20 minutes and leaves from bus stop Number 7.
From Uehonmachi Station, using the Kintetsu Nara Line, Kaisoku Kyuko to Kintetsu Nara Station takes about 35 minutes. This train runs about every 15 minutes.

Access to the Conference site

From JR and Kintetsu Nara Station
1. On Foot
It takes about 30minutes from JR Nara Station to the conference site and takes about 20minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station to the conference site.
2. Taking Bus
Please take the Bus Number 2 or buses bound for Takabatake-Cho (leaves from bus stop Number 1) and please get off at Daibutsuden-Kasugataisha Mae. It will need 10 minutes ride from JR and 5 minutes from Kintetsu station.
The fare is JPY 180 per person and it runs every 8 minutes. After taking off the bus you need to walk about 3 minutes to get to the conference site.
3. Taking Taxi
  • From JR Nara Station, it takes about 8minutes and will need about JPY 1,000-1,100.
  • From Kintetsu Nara Station, it takes about 5minutes and will need to pay JPY 600-700.
